e. e. cummings captures the heart of Easter in this poem, doesn’t he?
Some days we feel that rush of excitement. We can wholeheartedly say “Yes!” to life.
Other days life seems flat. Some days we may just want to pull the covers back over our heads.
Open your heart to God’s surprises in your path. The birds are singing—listen to their charm. Notice the rainbow of tulips in your neighbor’s yard or the sweet scent of lilacs. Say yes even to the difficult things that make you a gentler person.
This Easter season, listen for God’s whisper in your heart.
