Let us remember others and ask God to touch them in a special way.
March 11, 2007
As we settle into the season of Lent, we may be finding more time for quiet and reflection. If so, we see how situations appear differently to us when we approach them with a peaceful and attentive attitude. Perhaps we see how a little effort on our part goes a long way. A kind word, a show of concern, a helping hand may make all the difference to someone - stranger or friend. When we find that peaceful place within ourselves, we are beginning the path to nonviolence.
We realize that there are those in our world whose lives are touched by so much violence and trauma that they never have a peaceful moment. Let's remember them in our moments of peace and quiet and ask God to touch them in a special way.
Blessings on your Lenten journey.
