Let us be the person God created us to be!

On August 11, Franciscans around the world observe the birthday of St. Clare of Assisi, companion to St. Francis. In reading about St. Clare, we realize that her simplicity included accepting her natural talents as precious gifts to be used for the honor and glory of God. She made no efforts to suppress them, but cooperated with the graced energy to perfect her God-given gifts. This is an important reminder that we give praise to God by being the person God created us to be.
However God has blessed us, let us shine our light for all to see. Together we can become that glowing beacon of peace and nonviolence. Let it begin today.
